To be or Not to be

Is the time coming when we shall be, but servants of our government? Is this what our founders wanted for us? I think not. To take a line from Thomas Jefferson:

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

Thomas Jefferson:

As our political season is upon us, once again we hear of persons who would lead us if we let them, down a dark and endless path to servitude in all manners except word. One would take us back to the good old days of confiscatory taxation in order to defeat a scourge that is upon us of “climate change”. The result will not be as intended, for climate change has been with us since the beginning of time. This person would also caution us to not have children in such a serious and difficult time. I wonder what the founders would say about our serious and difficult time, is it to be compared to the Revolution and the 25,000 that died there or maybe they should have shunned children during the civil war where 625,000 died. No, this kind of thinking is so elementary in thought that it should be ridiculed as ignorant at the least from the start. But no there are people who whole heartily march with this thought to tell us how we should vote for them to lead us. When questioned how we will pay for this new enlightenment that they have brought us we are told that is the wrong question. We should instead trust them because it is the results on the investment we are told. Of course, the fact we will all be dead and them too before any results, if they be, are recognized is of no worry.

Then the other day the House majority defeated a bill that, in essence, said that a child that survives abortion would be given all life-saving treatment. Does this mean they support infanticide? Sure, sounds like it. We do know that they consider children not born yet to be less than human and can be disposed of how they see fit.

Can you seriously give any credence of morality to such a person? Because that same person says it is immoral to build a wall to protect our borders, but they have walls around their houses to protect them. That same person has voted for money to build walls around other country’s borders, just not ours.

And now they want to pass a back-door registration scheme on guns and call it a background check. Of course, they deny it. But hey, you know what that same person told us about health care, If you want to know what’s in it, we need to pass it first. OH, and make it law so all your complaining will be worthless.

I guess the jokes on us.

First let’s start with the definition according to Meriam – Webster.

Definition of socialism

1any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2aa system of society or group living in which there is no private property

ba system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

3a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.

Now what needs to be understood is the ramifications of such. In our political world today, there are many using this as a new way to equalize the wealth of a nation or the world. While they may not directly use the word, because of the negative connotations it evokes. Make no mistake whether on purpose or not in the end, the result will be the same, Communism.

Think about it. Would you work harder than the person next to you, knowing that no matter how much better you are at the job, you will NEVER rise above the worst person at said job because ALL must stay equal. Oh, but someone must be the Boss you say, True. That person will be of the special political class, not you. You think there is classism now, just wait it will be much worse. For one thing, INDIVIDUALISM will disappear. Under socialism, you will have true democracy. Whatever the majority wants it will get. That’s great you say, really. At one time or another, you were the minority, yes even if you were white. Surprisingly not all things are white and black or brown or whatever you think it should be. In a true Democracy 50 plus 1 wins the day. You think self-defense is a bad thing, 50+1 and it is. Look no farther than jolly old England. You want Medicare for all, you got it. Look to Canada for the results of that and most of Europe too. And for true Socialist-Communism look to our good friends in China. Is this how you want to live?

I for 1 say, Give me Liberty or give me Death, as the saying goes. Our country has lasted this long because it is a REPUBLIC not a democracy. What’s the difference you say, well for one thing, and the main thing actually, we have individual rights given at birth by GOD not the state. We are not the subject of the state or subjected to the people who work for the state. They work for us, only so long as we let them. We don’t elect our highest office by a 50+1 democratic scheme. And I thank God every day for that. Now we do elect Congress that way and look what we have. People who work the system that for the most part they have created and stay in office for decades. Because they’re the best we have, right? I don’t think so. For the most part, they are there because of emotions. That’s right, not thinking, understanding, rational decisions, no they figured out a long time ago that pulling the old heartstrings is more productive. Why you say, Look in the mirror for your answer. What motivates you?

So, when someone says look at the 1% and how bad they are, what are they really saying. We should be so jealous and distrustful of them because they are rich. How Pathetic. How do think they got that way. Sure, some from the generation before but also some from the sweat of their brow. There is truth in the saying that it takes money to make money, but it doesn’t say how much. I can personally attest that it is not a lot. And what it really takes to make, or to keep what you have made is hard work and paying attention for every minute of every day for as long as you live.

Let’s, take a more rational and productive look at the 1%. Which by the way in case the thought crossed your mind is, NOT me. Yes, they have a lot of money. What do they do with all that money? Well, for the most part, they help people. They create a lot of jobs and companies that create jobs. People like Bill Gates for one has changed the world with his money and jobs, for the better I might say. Literally millions and millions of people enjoy life much more because of him. Can you say that? I can’t.

I would instead argue for looking to some of them for enlightenment so as to improve your life. Heck, you may the next 1%er. As long as we stay a REPUBLIC.

Love of Country

There seems to be the opinion out there that a wall is not American. That opinion could not be more wrong-headed. America is built on individual rights. And as individuals, we are granted by the good Lord the right of self-defense and private property among others.

Do you not lock your doors at night when you go to bed? Many also set their alarms to protect the ones they love. Everyone has the right to protect their-selves and the ones they love. The Democrats also want to protect us, just they can’t get past their HATE for President Trump so they make up anything they can to demonize him and the wall in order to keep their sheep in line.

This will end up being a big mistake. Make no mistake the President did not cave on the wall. He just gave the Democrats enough rope to hang themselves. If they choose not to negotiate in good faith on ALL aspects of border security, he will declare an emergency and get it done without them.
